The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah celebrated the signing of the book (Theatrical Texts) as part of the activities of the cultural and artistic project sponsored by the Center in its third edition under the motto (Our Youth are Life Makers).
About the atmosphere of the celebration, the director of the center, Dr. Abdul Karim Abboud Odeh, said, “The celebration aims to introduce the cultural center in the city of Basrah to the birth of a group of young writers in the field of theater, to restore life to the rigid artistic and cultural scene, and that the signing of the book today represents the most important effective output of the project. The book included two parts of theatrical productions, the first related to the outputs of the theatrical readings forum and competition, and the second was related to the outputs of the theatrical script writing course under the supervision and training of the playwright Abdul Karim Al-Amri”.
Abboud added, The first part of the book included texts for plays such as (The Last Kiss) by Muntaha Jassim Jaafar, (Mutasnimoon) by Ahmed Taha, (Visiting Souls) by Haider Khalaf, (Journey of Roots) by Ali Al-Madani, (Five in the Morning) by Abdul Rahman Adel, (Parallel World) by Ali Moayyad, and (Suicide Shot) by Hussein Muhammad.
While the second part of the book included theatrical texts for the graduates of the theatrical script writing course, including texts for the plays “The Waterman of the Holes” by Zahra Al-Sairami, “Fear of Nothing” by Muntadhar Hassan Noir, “Not Better” by Umm Al-Baneen Majid, and “Puppet” by Nada Majid, “Did you forget the dog” by Ahmed Ibrahim and “It is too late” for zamam Al-Mansoori.
