A research team consisting of Prof. Dr. Aqeel Hadi Abd al-Wahed, an instructor at the College of Agriculture at Basrah University, and Dr. Ali Hadi Abd al-Wahed, an instructor at the College of Engineering at the Southern Technical University, obtained a patent for designing and building a smart electronic pollination machine for date palms using the Internet.
The design and manufacture of the device aims at facilitating the process of palm pollination fast and with the lowest costs, especially since date palm pollination is a difficult and costly process.
