During a meeting with American Cultural Attaché’s delegation headed by Chancellor, Mr. Daniel Ernst, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed the proposed projects and the grant provided by the American Government to the Iraqi universities.
Higher Education demonstrated the mechanism for implementing a grant of the US Government, which included equipping a center for environmental research at the University of Basrah, as well as a grant for training in the field of English language and supporting universities in the southern region to develop their research and scientific capabilities and laboratories.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by the Ministry’s Advisor, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan, a number of General Managers and representatives of the relevant Directorates.
