The President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, received the team of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to supervise the conduct of electronic assessment tests for the medical group.
The President of Basrah University confirmed to the ministerial team the readiness of the colleges concerned with the test in terms of logistics, such as preparing laboratories and equipping them with modern computers and the Internet, and determining electronic platforms to see the performance of the electronic assessment exam.
The coordinator of the Ministerial Team for E-Learning, Dr. Amer Salim Al-Ameer, stated that “our visit to Basrah University came to see its preparations for conducting assessment tests for the medical group within the policy followed by the Ministry of Higher Education to evaluate the scientific process and raise the efficiency of Iraqi universities and educational institutions, and praised the university and described it as a stronghold of higher education and scientific research in Iraq as it witnessed, in recent years, a scientific and knowledge explosion and played a major role in the process of contributing to reducing the effects of the pandemic on the community.
Al-Ameer added that the University of Basrah is witnessing a large and accelerating scientific movement, as it is considered one of the first universities that succeeded in adopting e-learning with quality standards and applying it according to the mechanisms adopted by the Ministry, in addition to the fact that the University of Basrah is the only Iraqi university within the sequence of the hundred scientific research institutions on the subject of seas and life under water and first in the sustainable development goals, in which it has more than five indicators.
