The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the research of the Higher Diploma in Project Management, entitled (identifying factors for delaying the completion of projects, a case study of Basra Roads and Bridges Directorate).
The research of the student, Shaghaf Ghazi Idan, aims to identify the reasons that lead to the delay of construction projects in the Directorate of Roads and Bridges of Basra, depending on the case studies investigated and the relevant parties in the field of construction, and to identify the most important common reasons for delaying the completion of projects.
The researcher recommended the necessity of conducting joint research studies between the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Public Municipalities, the Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Finance, and studying the proposals for the purpose of reducing the effects of delays in completing projects.
