The opinion committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held its extraordinary meeting in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Hakim Al-Zamili.
In his speech, the Minister of Higher Education called on the Iraqi Council of Representatives to increase the number of specialized public universities to accommodate the increasing output, allocate plots of land for university professors and members of higher education, address the file of employment in higher education institutions, review the retirement law, especially with regard to university professors, and allocate sufficient funds to meet the requirements of scientific research and to complete and maintain University infrastructure and allocating a special budget for importing laboratory equipment.
