The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah launched its fourth edition of a Child's Smile 2022 project after its success in launching it for three years in a row, 2019, 2020 and 2021, in cooperation with the Hammurabi Center for Research and Strategic Studies.
The director of the center, Dr. Abdul Karim Abboud Odeh, said, "About 100 orphan children of the Popular Mobilization, were chosen to draw a large painting about peace and love in the open air in gratitude for the efforts made by the heroes of the Popular Mobilization to raise the flag of Iraq and preserve its dignity. The artwork was done under the supervision of artists , including the artist Hassan Faleh, Hamed Saeed and Issa Hassan, from the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association.
Abboud added that the project aims to sow joy and care for the orphan child, as the ceremony included a presentation of the products of the previous third edition of the project, which was held in an exhibition of children's paintings and activities sponsored by Al-Andalus Private School.
