The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation with the Arabian Gulf Academy for Marine Studies.
The memorandum of cooperation included a number of points, the most important of which was the use of the Academy's laboratories by the college, joint teaching, giving maritime safety courses to college students, opening postgraduate studies to graduates of the Naval Academy, as well as allocating a number of postgraduate studies seats for them.
