On the occasion of the fifty-fifth anniversary of the founding of Basrah University, the annual exhibition of scientific, artistic and literary productions was held on the grounds of the Central Library in Bab Al-Zubair Colleges complex, in the presence of academic and governmental figures.
On the atmosphere of the opening of the exhibition this year, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Mohsen Abdel Hai Dasher, said, “This year’s exhibition included many studied engineering projects and creative products for students and instructors in order to incubate and market them by the concerned authorities, including those related to artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, dormitory service projects, urban engineering designs, and software for developing social networking sites, such as the Messenger and Telegram apps, and creating software for employee salaries and accounts.”
Dasher added, “this year's exhibition included exhibits of printed books in the two printing houses of Dar Al-Kutub for Printing and Publishing and Basrah University Press and a large number of research and scientific theses from the university colleges, with a special corner dedicated to displaying the products of the College of Agriculture of food products that were manufactured according to the highest health specifications for the consumer such as dairy, dried vegetables, meat and fish, and another corner dedicated to displaying the products of the College of Fine Arts, such as paintings, sculptural works and handicrafts”.
