The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture, presented by Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Ridha Akbar, on fractures and their diagnosis in emergency rooms, treatment methods and providing emergency nursing care.
During which he showed bone fractures and ways to de first aid on them by the nursing staff. These fractures are a medical condition that occurs due to excessive force on the bones, such as falls, car accidents, or due to bone fatigue, as is the case in fractures that happen to athletes.
Fractures may also occur as a result of some pathological conditions that weaken the bones, such as osteoporosis, or due to some types of cancer, which is known as a pathological fracture.
