The President of Basrah University, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Japan.
The President of the University discussed with the Iraqi Ambassador, Professor Abdul Karim Al-Kaabi, facilitating the mission of students on scholarships from the university, as well as facilitating the task of exchanging scientific expertise between the University of Basrah and Japanese universities, and exchanging scientific and advisory expertise in the field of writing and supervising research.
The ambassador also congratulated the University of Basrah on the occasion of its candidacy for the Times Higher Education Award (Oscar for Higher Education) in the field of arts at Fujita University, Japan. Wishing its staff more progress and creativity.
At the end of the meeting, the president of the university presented the (University Shield) to the Iraqi ambassador in appreciation of his efforts in supporting the university.
As part of the program prepared for the visit, Shaheen and the accompanying delegation held a meeting with the delegation of the Japanese Jakin Company for Education and Training, which is one of the major companies in the field of modern educational means.
The two sides agreed to conduct mutual visits, run a joint development program, and provide a series of experiences and expertise, as well as agreeing to exchange joint training for staff working between Basrah University and the company in supervising their existing projects in Basra.
