The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and his accompanying delegation discussed the joint cooperation with the President of Fujita University in Nagawa, Japan regarding exchange of scientific and research experiences. The delegation toured to see the reality of the university's educational, service and infrastructure, including halls and laboratories.
The President of the University of Basrah stated during the meeting that the University of Basrah was chosen among 8 Asian universities out of 600 universities to win the Oscars for the Times Higher Education classification for its first project (education and rehabilitation of prisoners) and the second project (Tamkeen) in the presence of the Japanese Princess of the Royal Palace Princess Aiko.
