The Center for Information and Communication Technology at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on canceling the traditional paper-based system for the authentication of the issuance of official documents and replacing it with the electronic one, in the presence of the authorized student affairs and postgraduate units in the colleges of the university.
The workshop aimed to train authorized persons on the electronic system to validate the issuance of official documents to shorten the time and routine in transactions while requesting the paper validity of issuances.
The workshop included the distribution of user accounts to those authorized to work in the formations of the university's colleges, including undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and then informing them of the latest instructions and updates on the electronic system for the validity of the issuance of documents and finding solutions to the obstacles they encountered during the training period.
The Director of the Information and Communications Technology Center at the University of Basrah, instructor Kayan Abdul Aziz Mutlaq, stated that the electronic document issuance validity system was designed by the National Data Center in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and was circulated to the ministries that issue official documents and need to be validated later. All documents issued will be preserved on secure and private servers, which make it easier for the citizen to obtain the validity of the document issuance, as they are uploaded to the system with their QR, and thus we secure these documents from any attempt to manipulation and forgery.
