Within the cooperation mechanism and the memorandum of understanding signed between the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah and the General Company for Southern Fertilizers in 2020 to support and develop the national industry, the College of Engineering hosted a delegation from the General Company for Southern Fertilizers.
A meeting was held between the two parties, in the presence of three professors in the field of fertilizers from the College of Agriculture, on activating the terms of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties in a way that contributes to the development of the national industry due to its great role in this field.
Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Maath Mohammad, stated that the meeting was held to raise the problems and obstacles facing the company and to discuss some of the foundations for developing the national industry and upgrading it and making it competitive with the industries of neighboring countries. Noting that the college has a role in solving technical problems facing government companies and factories
The aim of holding the meeting is to set the implementation mechanism and schedule for implementing those recommendations and to develop appropriate solutions to the problems facing the company.
