The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a PhD thesis titled (the mediating role of information technology and the organizational and interactive structure of organizational identity in the relationship between leadership styles and organizational effectiveness) - an applied study in the General Company for Ports of Iraq.
The thesis of the researcher Arafat Nasser Jassim Al-Yousef aims to highlight the relationship between the five study variables, build a conceptual framework, increase knowledge of the five variables and apply them in the General Company for Ports of Iraq, as well as to come up with recommendations that benefit the company in its future plans.
The thesis concluded the emergence of different types of leadership styles in the General Company for Ports of Iraq, which is in the process of shifting towards electronic through changing its current structure by modernizing its departments and this resulted in little influence on the organizational identity and the need for further study and analysis.
