A scientific study at the College of Science at the University of Basrah prepared by Dr. Karima Majid Zaidan and researcher Manal Zaki Rajab examined the properties of multi-walled carbon nanotubes with the polymer PEDOT:PSSpoly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene sulfonate,polystyrenepent).
The study included preparing nanocomposites with different weight ratios from multi-walled carbon nanotubes and PEDOT:PSS polymer and studying the effect of increasing the ratio on the polymer.
The results of the study showed that the electrical conductivity of the nanocomposites increased by increasing the percentage of carbon nanotubes, and then it decreased when the MWCNT reached the saturation limit in the polymer.
