The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah participated in transporting the incoming visitors to the city of Basra through the Shalamcheh border crossing to transport them to the holy city of Karbala.

It is worth mentioning that the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah contributes significantly every year by providing full, logistical and medical support to all walkers and visitors of Imam Al-Hussein, peace be upon him, throughout the holy month of Muharram by setting up medical detachments from Basra to Karbala.
