The University of Basrah and Ferdowsi University of the Islamic Republic of Iran signed an agreement for joint cooperation in the academic fields and to raise the scientific and research level. The agreement was signed by University President Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi with Ferdowsi University President Dr. Dhabiti.
The two sides agreed to exchange experiences and scientific research in the disciplines of medicine, pharmacy and engineering, as well as agriculture, education, Arts and sports sciences.
The two parties stressed the necessity of activating fellowships between the two universities, as well as activating postgraduate studies and mutual scientific visits.
The President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, welcomed this agreement, which will remain in force for years, stressing the university's openness to Arab and international universities.
