The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master’s thesis entitled (the impact of exchange rate changes on the performance of the Iraqi stock market indices - an applied study in the Iraqi stock market for the period 2005-2021). The thesis of the researcher Shahd Jassim Muhammad aims to show the impact of exchange rate changes on the performance of the indicators of the Iraqi stock market and to diagnose the most important indicators expressing the performance of the Iraqi stock market.
The thesis concluded that any change in the exchange rate will have its impact on the Iraqi stock market as one of the determinants of economic activity, but the impact of exchange rates on the money markets varies from one country to another.
