A master's thesis, entitled (anatomical study of the stomach of a single-humped camel), was discussed at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah.
The thesis of researcher Zainab Ali Salan included collecting samples of the camel's stomach from the Basra and Shuaiba areas, taking measurements of the anatomical side, and then completing the histological side using special dyes and immunochemistry.
The thesis concluded that the one-humped camel’s stomach includes three parts: the rumen, the retina, and the rennet. The rumen consists of a body and two sac-like parts. The retina is short and connects the rumen to the rennet, which in turn is superficially composed of two parts.
