The Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on nutrients and their relationship to calories.
The seminar, which was moderated by the teacher, Wafaa Hasaj Al-Mayahi, aimed to demonstrate the importance of healthy nutrition, especially dates, and the amount of calories that an individual needs to manage his/her daily activities.
The seminar included focusing on the most important and richest nutrients, namely dates, and discussing the healthy habits practiced by the individual to maintain a balanced diet and healthy weight, how to organize meal times and types in case of busy schedule, and the mechanism of calculating calories appropriate to the age and nature of work for each individual.
