The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, representing Iraqi universities, participated in the eighth national Quranic competition for Iraqi university students for memorization and recitation, which was held in the Kufa Mosque. The participating delegation included the deans of the colleges of Pharmacy and Education for pure sciences.
In his speech, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi praised the distinguished efforts of the Kufa Mosque Secretariat in preparing for this great Qur’anic forum. At the same time, he encouraged young energies who are ideologically and intellectually committed and affirmed his support for them to compete in Arab and international competitions in the near future.
On the sidelines of the conference, the President of Basrah University was honored for his great role in supporting the scientific, cultural and religious process.
