The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on Endotracheal Intubation, in which researcher Saja Karim Jassim lectured.
The lecture included an explanation of the endotracheal tube, its types and reasons for its use, in addition to the complications of its use. As well as focusing on the nursing role and reviewing video clips. The procedure for the endotracheal tube was also discussed and clarified in detail.
Through the lecture, the endotracheal tube was introduced, which is a catheter inserted into the trachea for the primary purpose of maintaining the airway and ensuring the proper exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
The lecture aimed at introducing students to this important life-saving skill that all doctors and nurses working in emergency, operations, and intensive care units must understand the basics and mechanisms of it.
