The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific trip for the students of the second stage to visit the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Heritage and Civilization.
Through their tour of the museum, which is rich with approximately 440 artifacts, some of which date back to 300 BC, the students were briefed on the cultural features and heritage of Mesopotamia.
It is worth mentioning that the Museum of Natural History is located south of Basra in the building of the presidential palaces on the Shatt al-Arab. It is the only one of its kind in southern Iraq and acquires scientific importance as it documents biodiversity in the region. It is also a vital tourist place.
