During a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, Mr. Muhammad Kadhim Al Sadeq, and his accompanying delegation, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed on the importance of cultural exchange among Iraq and the countries of the region and the world and promoting of aspects of joint academic cooperation between university institutions, especially specialized ones to develop an environment of understanding according to the approved contexts.
Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the two sides reviewed a number of topics related to mutual scholarships and fellowships, scientific twinning programs in rare specialized fields, joint supervision and visiting professor programs between faculty members.
Al Sadeq expressed his appreciation for the scientific cooperation and the interest of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in developing and updating academic understandings between the two sides and the joint work environment at the universities of the two countries.
