The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, inaugurated new projects in the Colleges of Law and Arts at the University of Basrah.
The new inaugurated projects included a grand hall for conferences, a complex of dormitories, a smart laboratory, as well as female students' dormitories, in addition to service projects and supportive administrative suites.
During his tour of the new projects, the Minister of Higher Education confirmed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will open new university buildings and proceed with developing and rehabilitating the dormitories and laboratories in order to provide an appropriate scientific environment on which the task of developing the higher education sector is based.
He pointed to the importance of continuous updating of curricula and acquiring experiences that enable students to develop their capabilities and knowledge, stressing at the same time the need to review programs and majors in a way that suits the requirements and developments of the scientific and educational environment.
The tour of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, included honoring from the deanships of the Colleges of Law and Arts, while a presentation on the history and culture of Basra was presented.
