The University of Basrah was part of the Riyada initiative for development and employment launched by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' Al-Sudani, to support youth, students and graduates.
The Riyada initiative aims to motivate youth groups, students and graduates to interact with labor market changes and technological development, as well as invest individual skills, talents and the ability to innovate in order to obtain decent opportunities in the labor market and create an effective economic movement.
The initiative included targeting citizens between the ages of (16-50) years in order to embrace, develop and nurture productive scientific and practical ideas. The initiative will also include the launch of an electronic leadership platform with multiple interfaces for projects, communication and training activities, as well as interfaces that incubate entrepreneurial business.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah presented its candidates within the initiative, represented by the director of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Center, Dr. Enas Abdel Aziz Al-Nasser and Dr. Hassan Nima, to ensure that the covered groups benefit from summer training opportunities, workshops and employment, as well as scientific field visits and job fairs.
