The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on how to deal with fracture cases.
The workshop included a lecture during which Dr. Muhammad Reza Akbar explained the different types of fractures, causes of fractures, clinical symptoms of fractures, methods of diagnosing fractures, and how to treat fractures and their complications.
The workshop included an introduction to bone fractures and ways to treat them by the nursing staff. Fractures are a medical condition that occurs due to severe force on the bones, such as falls and car accidents, or due to bone stress, as is the case in fractures that affect athletes. The fracture may also happen as a result of some pathological conditions that weaken the bones such as osteoporosis or some types of cancer, which is known as pathological fracture and common fractures.
