The Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah, Dr. Mortada Muhammad Salih Al-Musafer, participated in the activities of the Fourth International Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Society of Surgeons, which was held at the Rotana Hotel in Baghdad.
The conference included various scientific lectures and research in the field of surgery by international surgeons from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and discussions took place to exchange ideas and gain surgical experiences.
The participation included the presentation of a research paper on developments in the treatment of ureteral stones focusing on the most important factors that impede the descent of stones in the lower ureter of small sizes, despite giving the patient drugs that help in their descent.
