The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the antioxidant properties of vegetable oils
The aim of the workshop is to reveal the therapeutic importance of vegetable oils and introduces them to the participants and the unique compounds they contain, which are the source for antioxidants.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Nariman Azim Al-Ghazi, included discussing the most important procedures used to improve the bioavailability of oilseeds, the important factors that hinder absorption in the body, an explanation of the most important methods of extracting and purifying oilseeds, the ideal methods of extraction, and a statement of the effect of different cooking methods on antioxidant molecules.
In the end, the recommendation was that specialists should pay attention to the contents of this science because of its benefits to humanity.
