An instructor at the College of Law at the University of Basrah, Suha Zaki Nuri, published a book entitled (Legal Regulation of the Role of Electronic Media in Electoral Campaigning).
The book, which included (65) pages and (4) chapters, cast light on the functions of electronic media, as it was noted that the sites spread on the Internet provide a lot of information about facts and events at home and abroad, and thus provide a news function that was helped by the ease of communication and the immediacy of information. Thousands of sites also provide information about global facts and events within the framework of the integrated media service that these sites see, and this is what we seek in social networking sites in general.
Since the electronic media relies in the production, manufacture and delivery of information on the means of modern electronic technology associated with the World Wide Web without being restricted by time or place, and its management is not limited to a specific authority or party, and includes many forms, including Internet applications and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp. Google and YouTube, as well as traditional means such as television and radio.
