The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, held a meeting with a number of colleges covered by the implementation of the Bologna track according to the current course system, in the presence of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Hamza Abbas, and a group of deans.
The meeting aimed to review the achievements made in this field and the position of the university, which will be raised before the end of this month.
The university president stressed the need for a common vision and unification of work, as well as adapting the academic system to the Bologna track and unifying subjects in all colleges included in the track before the summer vacation for teachers.
The assistant president for scientific affairs stated that several scientific committee meetings were held and a group of specialized workshops were implemented, in addition to the issuance of a number of guides.
The Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ramzi Salem Ali, said that we formed the sub-committees for the departments and the central committee, then we conducted a questionnaire for employers, and the results were analyzed, and after that we prepared the curricula and issued four guides for each department.
