The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, received the President of Sharif Technological University in Tehran, Dr. Jalili, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, the Dean of the College of Engineering, and a number of department directors.
Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi discussed with the visiting guest the possibility of conducting mutual workshops for renewable energy and activating the joint specialization, as well as holding a scientific and cultural week between the two universities.
Shaheen confirmed that the University of Basrah has entered the line of competition on the Arab and international levels in the field of classifications, and it is continuing to serve the community through production.
Dr. Jalili expressed his great happiness at being in the ancient University of Basrah, stressing that Sharif University of Technology, which was established in 1966 with the aim of training and providing some specialized cadres needed by the state at high scientific levels, and was able to establish itself as a leading scientific institute in industry, modern technologies and applied sciences.
Jalili added that ten years ago, dealing with the University of Basrah began with a professor teaching in a specific specialty, and we aspire to activate the role of visiting professor and joint teaching with the possibility of conducting short courses for teachers.
