The University of Basra holds its annual evaluation conference at the College of Education for Pure Sciences
The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra held the annual calendar conference 2022/2023
Under the slogan (Performance evaluation is an important means of improving skills)
The conference opened its proceedings with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem, then the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. Then, the Dean of the College delivered the opening speech of the conference.
It included an overview of the college and its most important achievements. The first axis of the conference included the scientific aspect presented by the respected Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul-Sattar Jaber Ali, who provided a detailed explanation of this aspect that included a research approach in which a group of scientific activities that the college seeks to achieve were presented and discussed, and this is evident in evaluating the scientific process. For the college in the future by identifying the most important positive indicators of that process and the most important distinguished activities in the college from the calendar year and comparing them with its achievements in previous years in order to work to develop these indicators for the better in line with scientific and research progress in the corresponding colleges.
The second axis of the conference included the financial, administrative and organizational aspects, which was presented by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, where he provided a detailed explanation of the infrastructure and the financial, organizational and service aspects, in addition to the aspect of accreditation and the strategic plan of the college. The Assistant Dean also touched on the most important achievements of the field college. Service and scientific services related to the college buildings and their development, including green spaces, cafeterias, study halls, and the development of advanced research laboratories.
The third axis included the scientific departments axis, which was presented by the heads of scientific departments, and the most important distinguished activities of these departments were presented.
The fourth axis of the conference included honoring academically distinguished teachers and employees with the Shield of Excellence, in appreciation of their efforts in their scientific career.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, explained that the primary goal of the conference is to achieve self-evaluation of the college, as it is an essential pillar for raising the scientific level to achieve comprehensive quality. The conference also sought to uncover the most important obstacles and find successful solutions to them.
