The University of Basra obtains a grant for petroleum software licenses from the international company PETEX The College of Engineering at the University of Basra received a grant for petroleum software licenses from the international company PETEX After a series of negotiations and correspondence with PETEX, the international company specializing in petroleum software, and mediated by HORIZON, the College of Engineering obtained the donated software licenses, including 10 copies of IPM, which include a set of specialized petroleum software such as: PROSPER, GAP, PVTP, MBAL, REVEAL and RESOLVE At no cost. The total donation (the value of the software in the oil market) amounted to 3,360,244.63 British pounds (three million three hundred and sixty thousand two hundred and forty-four pounds sterling and sixty-three pence).
