Within its policy of marine sustainability... the University of Basra participates in the fourth national and second international conference The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra participated in the Fourth National and Second International Conference on Sustainable Marine Development, held by Khorramshahr University of Science and Technology in the Republic of Iran. The Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, and Dr. Nawras Abdul-Ghani, the teaching assistant at the College of Marine Sciences, participated in the activities of the scientific conference held at the Khorramshahr University of Marine Science and Technology based on the invitation submitted by the University of Khorramshahr. Dr. Osama Qasim gave the opening speech at the conference about introducing the attendees to the College and Center of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra and its scientific and research potential, which received attention and appreciation from the academics and experts participating in the conference. The participants assumed the presidency and membership of the scientific committees to manage the practical conference sessions. On the sidelines of the conference activities, researchers exchanged ideas and visions about the possibility of scientific cooperation and conducting joint scientific research between the two sides.
