College of Engineering at the University of Basra received a delegation from the Al-Nahrain Network at University College London, Department of History. The delegation was represented by the Director of the Al-Nahrain Network, Professor Elinor Robson, and she was accompanied by Mr. Mahyar Abd. The visit coincided with the visit of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, to the College of Engineering. The delegation was received by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Sarmad Abdullah Abbas, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Adeed Habib Taha, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs. Professor Dr. Mounir Abdel Jalil and the Head of the Department of Architecture, Dr. Hamid Hayab Samir, discussed during the meeting topics related to visual heritage and the mechanism of advancement in visual architecture. The visit aims to strengthen relations between the London College and the College of Engineering and extend bridges of cooperation between the two universities.
