A new global achievement described as impressive is added to the University of Basrah for winning the first place in the Higher Education Awards in Asia for the year 2021
It won first place in the Creativity and Arts Award among all Asian universities for the year 2021, followed by three international universities such as Beijing University of International Culture in China, Zhejiang University in China, Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar and other international universities in Asia.
It is worth noting that the University of Basrah is the only Iraqi university that receives an award within the Higher Education Awards in Asia. No Iraqi university has ever ranked first in Asia, and all of this was done with the continuous support of the President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shahin Hammadi, and with the determined efforts of the members of the international classifications unit and diligent work done by the colleges of the university
