University of Basrah and the Engineering Restoration Company for General Contracting Ltd. signed a memorandum of joint cooperation in the fields of training and exchange of experiences. The agreement was signed by the President of the University, Dr. Saad Shahin Hammadi, and the representative of the company, Engineer Ahmed Sobhi.
The two sides agreed on the contribution between the two parties in training students in various engineering and administrative specializations using the training centers and workshops at the university in accordance with the Ministry's recent law.
The two parties confirmed that after the completion of the university hospital which is commissioned to the company, the students will be trained on the hospital system and how to install devices and use them in order to raise their professional competence and job qualification.
The President of the university, Dr. Saad Shahin Hammadi, stated that the students and graduates will be trained by the Engineering Restoration Company, and a group of them will work with the same company or with companies affiliated with the same contractor, in the scientific, engineering and administrative specializations.
