Basrah and Arab Gulf Studies Center at University of Basrah discussed ways of scientific cooperation with the Turkish Center for Middle Eastern Studies in Ankara, in the presence of the Turkish Consul (Mehmet Ozkon Arman), the Director of the Center, Professor (Ahmet Uysal) and the Head of the Economic Studies Department, Dr. (Recep Yorulmaz).
The Director of Basrah and Arab Center, Dr. Safia Shaker Maatouq, said, "The two parties discussed ways for the success of the scientific research cooperation between the two centers in terms of development and investment in Basrah, and to benefit from the Turkish scientific and academic expertise in the field of environmental development, water resources and electric power."
