University of Basrah and the rest of the Iraqi universities and colleges have registered an increasing global publication with more than one hundred thousand scientific researches in Scopus and Clarivate containers.
With this, the Iraqi public and private academic institutions have raised their position in the global publication, as the Iraqi scientific publication indicator in containers rose to one hundred and six thousand five hundred and seventy-nine research distributed among the Scopus and Clarivate containers (Web of Science).
Seventy-nine public and private universities and colleges participated in these results, while these data topped by on the public institutions level: the University of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya, Babylon, Technology, Basrah, Mosul, and Kufa. Whereas on the private institutions level: Al-Mustaqbal University College, Al-Rafidain University College, the Islamic University of Najaf, Al-Isra University College, Al-Mansour University College, and Al-Kafeel University.
It is worth mentioning that the portal specialized in scientific journals and indicators for the classification of countries showed that Iraq occupies the forty-fifth place globally, sixth in the Middle East and third in the Arab world by publishing scientific research in various disciplines.
