The President of University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shahin Hammadi, met in his office Dr. Basma Muhammad, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq, and the Director of the Office of the Commission in Basrah, Mr. Mahdi Al-Tamimi, and the Director of Relations in the office, Dr. Abbas Ali.
The meeting dealt with many topics of common interest, especially those related to launching a joint project to reduce clan conflicts, raise awareness of the scourge of drugs, and discuss pollution and the Corona pandemic.
The attendees agreed to strengthen joint work and provide logistical support by the university to the Office of the Commission in order to promote and protect human rights in Basrah.
