The Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ali Himdhi Diab, announced the participation of Basrah University in the formation of Basrah Crime Prevention Council.
Himdhi also indicated that the council includes cooperation between government departments to address crime in a coordinated manner at the local level through the formation of a crime prevention council.
It was agreed during the council meeting, which was held at the Basrah Police Command, to assign the Basrah and Arab Gulf Studies Center and Basrah Police Directorate to study the situation of crime in Basrah and to propose plans and programs to prevent it to be presented to the council. It was also agreed that the council’s board of directors would meet twice a month to provide a briefing on the status of crime and measures to prevent it.
